St David's Class Year 5

October 14th - 16th 2009 Kilve Court Residential

Year 5 had a fabulous time on their recent trip to Kilve Court. We all got to know each other better. We learnt that we had to tidy-up after ourselves and look after each other. It was an action packed three days and two nights.

During a trip to Kilve beach we found lots of fossils and living creatures. We had great fun making beach sculptures from things we found on the beach. Some of our efforts can be seen below.

During the days we took part in activities such as:

Climbing

Grass-sledging

Archery

Low ropes

Which helped us to work in teams and to push ourselves to do things, even if we were worried about them.

We were all very tired by the time night came but we we still enjoyed our night walk on the first night. When we got back to camp there were some extra guests for dinner; two badgers. They ate everything that we had left at dinner.

The second night we enjoyed a camp fire despite drizzling rain.
